Wellness Spa
The construction of the spa with spacious, double volume mosaic –decorated rooms allows for absolute privacy and freedom of movement. The niche- treatments does not require a large number of therapists, which keep over- heads low and pricing of treatments reasonable and competitive.
It is possible for one therapist to keep an eye on every treatment and hydro- facility the spa has to offer whilst she is busy with a massage.
There must be continuality between product, image, communication systems and expectations in an ever changing environment. I have succeeded in bringing the charm, beauty and mystique of the Middle East to South Africa.
Hydro Therapy
1. The Sento:
As mentioned, Japanese really like taking a public bath and particularly in a hot spring, because the warm mineral water is extremely beneficial for aches and pains. In the country side people take a bath outside in absolute privacy, breathing in natural fragrances of juniper and cedar wood, to soothe the soul and arouse the spirits. The mind travels effortless underneath the spaciousness of an endless blue sky and the exuberance of life is restored and celebrated.
You will find beauty and kindness and harmony in the ordinary.
2. The Sauna:
The heat of the sauna produces an artificial "fever" and urges every organ of the body into action. While muscles relax, your inner organs are set to work. Sweating accomplishes three important things: rids the body of wastes, regulates the critical temperature of the body at 37 degrees C (98.6 degrees F) to boost immunity, and act as an oxygen injection to body and skin.
3. The Cold Pool:
The underlying premise of cold water therapy is that briefly and somewhat regularly exposing the body to certain kinds of natural stresses (like cold water) can enhance health. Promoters of cold water therapy say that it can boost immune function, decrease inflammation and pain, and increase blood flow. Increased blood flow brings oxygen to the cells and oxygen balances the qi/ life -force.
"Just trust yourself then you will know how to live." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
4. The Steam Bath:
The nomadic people who travelled the deserts visited the steam baths whenever they reached their destination to recuperate after the journey, moist the skin and to get rid of sand within the ears and nostrils. They celebrated life.
Over centuries of employing the steam bath for both health and leisure in various countries, benefits can now be divided into 3 main categories:
- Physical health benefits
- Respiratory
- Detoxification
- Muscle Relaxation
- Psychological health benefits
- Meditation
- Anxiety and Stress
- Sleep Disorders
- Skin health
- Eczema
- Dry and Itchy Skin
- Acne

Four Critical Steps to Beautiful Skin:
- Spring clean your complexion with an exfoliator. Your body sheds skin cells at an amazing rate every minute of every day. If you don't get rid of them, they'll just sitting on your skin making you look dull and dry. This is also crucial for skin rejuvenation.
- It's vital to massage your face to stimulate the hydration of the tissue. This will help make your skin feel softer; it'll glow and also protect it from drying out.
- Masks have been used as cosmetic treatments since ancient times to help nourish and rejuvenate the skin. Masks are supposed to contain ingredients which benefit the skin. This means tighter skin and a more brilliant complexion. It can also reduce the look of fine lines and small wrinkles.
- Rest and Repose: by definition, beauty sleep is extra sleep. Slumber is crucial for skin tone as well as sanity. Experts’ advice applying your most therapeutic treatments before bed time.
Aromatherapy
"Smells are surer than sounds and sights to make the heartstrings crack" RUDYARD KIPLING
The histories of Essential oils take us as far back as the Mesopotamians where distillation pots have been found at Tepe Gawra dating back about 3,500 BC.
In China and India herbs and aromatic plants were also taken up as an integral part of the Indian Ayurveda medicinal system.
Since the late 1970 and early 80's the use of essential oils and aromatherapy has become a major part of alternative and holistic health systems, and has a huge following across the world.
We use body wraps and packs to enhance the benefits of the oils:
- Aloe and lavender wrap
- Papaya Body Mask
- Body Mud
- Essential Rose Body Wrap
- Aromatic Body Pack.
